Focus: This Picture (I)

Numb, comic and glad
Clear, blank and white
I hold my holiness until I need
To wear a mood, or a face,
Or lie, or assume sin for a while

Note to self, smile when you have to
be bland when you have to.
Last I checked, masks protect
From madness, viruses, injustices
From lost promises.

Smile, empty grin, plain
To let my face fly, or not
To hold my sin
Till I need to wear a mask
Till I need to clear a doubt.
