Love. Blessing.

If I ever need to read a scripture
I’ll shine a torch on his bald head
Find the veins that say I’m the reason
He lives, he dies and comes back alive
He’s one of the few things I’m certain about
Confidently reminding him of his first vow
“I will never leave you, even in death”
And with two poems,
Written on my door and my mind
This is how he blessed me
Sadly he scolds
Because he loves to pick tears, store them
And remind me of how much I’ve grown
He lies, he sighs “if I ever die,
Then you should start living”.
