If i were my forefathers

If I were my fore father
I wouldn’t have had this head
These eyes, this brain
I’d have my offspring in a naked land
Have us all bathe in the same water
Soak ourselves in words from ancestors
Rules from god men
Scrolls would be eaten for dinner
The holy book too
We’d switch tongues when we have to lie
Smoke weed on Christmas
Use its fumes for worship
Until the world knows us
Till the world makes reference to us
Mine will be a lineage tethered to God.
