Rudolph and Vera (Seguidilla)

I know of a red cap chief
That scribbles on walls,
Poems, gems and a diadem
We have walked before;
Queued in lines
Wondered, pondered on vain things
Today, we play hearts and chess.

Sometimes she is a stranger
With a distant gaze
Her story a mystery mix
A tough turn in thorns.
From pain to triumphant feats
A sweet soul somewhere between,
She’s chaos and calm.
