For men who do good

It has been said,
The earth is for those who do good
To suffer for nothing.
Glasses in the air,
For my dad and the other men
Those who do good without second thoughts
Their parties are never political
But to what end has that led them?
Jeers? Lack and more lack?
Sorry to not be sorry
For evil has triumphed more times
And more times than we choose to admit
Good,
Evil has triumphed
Maybe when the end comes
We’d have a good story to tell.
