Blood streams from within

what do you say to a woman
birthing through blood and sweat
stillborn twins?
blood has cloth before it breathes air.
how do you drown a stream?
how do you bleed blood?
who knows?
some trees have their roots
deep in the clouds,
they do not know or need soil,
some other seeds know only dirt,
from the day they’re buried
to baptism and rebirth.
