How Cats Fly

If you can read this you’re too close
Open your eyes and cover space
The world is less speed and more chase
Sweat, work the rhythm like bongos

There’s something sweet
About how cats purr
When you stroke their stomach
Gently, slowly and
With utmost interest
They’d put you to sleep even

Your identity, please embrace
Play with the skills and please compose
Pay quietly to the call of crows
And stay diligent to the grace

Those who say cats fly
Have either not seen or heard
There’s no flight without elevation,
Some dark twisted magic
Cats would scratch and run
Climb and tear, but never fly

Les chats ne volent pas
Ils se grattent, ronronnent et dorment
