Sunny Star

The Milky Way could be a drink
Quenching no thirst, oh dry sinner
Serving no wine for our dinner
You lose the light with every blink

The sun is a star too
But stars cannot be the sun
You can’t be light if you’re too good at blinking
So burn the blurry light
Until the smoke distills into crystals
and our last name is shine

This is how we became thinner
We wished upon stars, had no drink
Empty stomachs by shores to think
Fossils and now lost. Beginner

Wish not upon stars, for there we died
Wish not upon the sun for there we dried
Light is no god, or deity
They are servants, pawns
They adorn your days with life
And not your life with breath

El sol es una estrella
Las estrellas no son dioses.
