Gin and Tonic

A glass of gin for the man outside
he’d come along with his horse inside
looking for tonic, looking for tonic.
A glass of gin for the girl’s backyard
it houses men with fear on their card
those looking for tonic, those who find it.
A gin and juice for the priest’s son
who loves to drink, and have less fun,
till he died off tonic, he died off tonic.
a little tonic drink can sweet a lie
it can get you passed full and nigh
it is not gin, it is not gin.
