Want, want, have but never have
He has destroyed his conscience with wants
He has expanded his stomach with everybody’s bread
He has been enslaved by his stomach and pockets
The Almighty has punished him with a voracious appetite.
We want success without working hard
The jobless man sleeps and dreams of a Maybach
Hunger for trust but lack of integrity
Devouring public coffers without looking back
A big bad appetite, it has made us mad
I’ve acquired a distinct taste
Of the unattainable, of late
So far away, and yet I yearn.
This hunger; aches and burns
For now, we must wait.

out of the water
to embrace its prey.
