CLIMB. LEAP. LOOK

I ring, you do not answer
I text, you see and ignore
How am I supposed to get through to you?
Standing before your very walls
I’m lost as to how to go about them.

Where do I come in from?
Should I follow the rhythm your heart beats?
Listen to the words that fall off your lip?
Would the words I speak get through to you?
Can you tell a lie from false steps away?

Oh! Dear man, come off these wired walls
We would be here for a longer time
Than our minds and books have read
For one day, let’s be flesh and blood
This too, would pass.
