The things we feed on,

The things we can control with a switch
That our foreheads may not be ripped.
If their nose grows too long, it pokes us,
Did we let it? Or did they force it?
Someday, when we stand behind the screen,
Would we be the same ones that poked us.
Time has tweaked our belief,
Now every lie behind a screen is true,
And every man there-in should rule,
And every truth that goes in, comes out renewed.
There are Pinocchio’s in this age,
The first was animated and cute,
The rest lie within us, and they’re brute.
