Clean Dirt

One can
Get away with sin,
As long as it is neatly done.
I’ve learnt and mastered that kind of art.
It’s but metaphor in a poet’s hand.

You keep
Your gloves dirty;
For it is their purpose.
Just make sure that your hands are clean–
That way the deed is done, but neatly too.
