What did you hear of gods with small G’s?
Who told you of the deeds of their heart?
When do they descend their ego hill?
Why do they never assume their role?
Where did they tell you their throne exists?

I heard tales of those enthroned by God,
Whose deeds are inscribed atop their skin,
Only on nights when their pots are void,
They make God wonder where the crown is,
They squeeze their throne and drink with their wine.
