Find My Heart


I dropped a trace in my photo,
With an afro to lift my face,
And the embrace from amigo,
You’ll see we go far in this race.

I left a spark in mother’s smile,
We teared the aisle with father’s ark,
Our eyes were dark, we walked a mile
And let our style stain their gold mark.

I let it win so please beware,
I let the air design my grin
For where I’m seen, a heart stained chair,
Find my heart where my hands has been.
