Shawl of Time

Alas we must travel again
Timeout on time and totter to train
The feeble feet of the past we embrace
Till telepathy packs and leaves from this place.

We will wait for the sun to return
Ask the moon to calm the heat from the burn
Cloud our eyes, cloud our skies
Until daylight looks the same in our eyes.

Slowly we would measure the mile
To be more than the width of an arrogant smile
And then speed the future up
Dropping every grain to fill up the sand cup.

Alas we must return from yore
Maybe rally the sages more
Remove this cover that has since misled
The weary clock that’s above my head.
