When the comedian is sad, who becomes the clown?

(i)
The comedian should never frown.
For when he does there’ll be no clown.

(ii)
There’ll be no clown to juggle
Or act a fool for laughter
Just sad tales ever after.

(iii)
When the clown leaves the path of madness,
Then the poet will take on the task.
Not because he does not know sadness,
But for all his life he wears a mask.

(iv)
When the clown is sad who will wear the crown?
To make the people laugh all over town?
The poet alone can pull out a smile;
Playing fool to feel a fool’s mood faster.
For in painting pain, the poet is master.
