What we do not know about respect

A million dollar has no clue,
On how worthless it is in view.
First words to a Yoruba ward-
Respect is a must to afford,
Bowing to a dwarf doesn’t make him taller than you.

You can’t recall what you ne’er knew,
Reciprocal respect is true,
Self respect is more than a sword.
But in your brain, nothing is stored,
Na why shoulder wey raise you, go fall your hand too.

Being humble is a must to do,
Ego is no bridge to pass through,
Don’t climb to what you can’t afford,
Knowing limits is best award.
That brings us to the end of my Ted talk. Thank you!
