Controlled Emotions

A running tap would overrun
an empty cup that won’t give out
her tea.

Let the tears rain if they want to
Fire would do as much as she please
No doubt

No-one blames the sun for being hot
Not all that the skin feels the lip
utters.

Emotions are not birds, they don’t
fly unless you give them wings to
fly on.
