Bury Seeds, Not People

Shovel, the mouth used to bury her name
Six-feet was meant for plants and not man
Tongues retain more evil than taste of light.

The sun went down, a daughter took the blame
For what good are worms found in a fresh can?
When the news goes left, you have to do right!

Be deliberate; your deeds should have an aim
Your gardening acts should follow a plan
Banish darkness to the cracks, out of sight.

Pictures that were used mock and create a meme
Depression moving faster than a van
Cause the sunshine couldn’t seep through the night

Let’s bury seeds, and not swallow people
Lead them to peace, don’t make their minds cripple.

I have been glued to your page for a week now. At first, it was the titles that got me. I now look forward to what you’ll come up with ‘today’ and it has helped me greatly, to write and be inspired. I’m grateful.
