Pain is a good shelter

Optimism can be deceiving,
for reality does always have a happy ever after.
It’s okay to stay believing
in better days for the rain doth stop.
But we all need the truth that pain is revealing
For in it do we grow.
And if the pain keeps increasing
It will still come and end in laughter.
Pain is needed to give life meaning.
