A Palinode In Between

In the depths of the cloud,
The sun drowned in darkness of dawn.
I was awake and
Earth was right above me,
While I walked through the skies.
The sun failed to find its East with ease.
At dawn its light was gone.
Darkness grew, feeding on the clouds.
Twice the light of twilight; darkness.
It shines doom.
For the sun today, won’t bloom
And the sky another starless groom.
