Farewell To Things Unachieved

The grave doth swallow up the greatest ones
We all have to answer death’s call in turns
O what a shame that talents also go
Where the writer goes the words do follow
Where is Da Vinci, Maya and Pablo?
The same place as Steve Jobs and Picasso.
It’s safe to say that they weren’t done here,
But their works we won’t forget and still cheer.
They gave us a taste of heaven on earth
And we wait in hope for talents yet birth
It’s sad that all these good works have been laid
to waste, but we should give thanks they were made.
