IT IS LIKE {LIE-K} A LIE

{EB}
SWORD POET’S SOLO.

LEON:
IT
IS LIKE {LIE-K} A LIE
It
is always a lie when they tell you that they can tell
Cos
they really can tell not…
And
God forgives us, but until our sorry asses go to hell,
What
we did or did not would not even come this close to ringing a bell:
How
many times you cheated or
How
many times you lied.
The
many messages you tweeted or
The
many gifts for her you done buyed.
And
she overheard my conversation the other day
And
I was like I was talking with ma little sister.
And
she went like ‘Honey that’s kina weird;
You
miss your little sis’ tities? You’re talking bikinis?’
And
I’m like whoa, ‘Hold up a sec babe.
How
many conversations you done eavesdropped on?
Cos
I only spoke to three people:
Lois
was talking bikinis and asking me to say I miss them.
Sharon
called to wish me a happy birthday and asked if I cared for a shot of patron
And
the third wasn’t even ma sis; ma sis done already called yesterday, babe.
Is
there anything else you wanna say?’
Now
she silent cos
I
flipped it over like I was gonna have a dog pound.
I
kinna like the way that sounds.
But
back to the topic and even in public
They
lie when they tell you that they can tell, like,
‘Yeah,
I caught you looking at her!’
Okay,
how about you try looking in her direction next time
So
you’ll see she isn’t the reason I got a hard-on this time?
You
know they lie when they say that guy aint even their class.
Oh
really? Well if you’re so worried about class
Try
getting into college.
And
we lie when we say that girl ain’t our type
Cos
as soon as the cookie jar opens
We
done shag’em anyways.
And
at that moment,
We
quickly forget about the blood type, phenotype, genotype, or any acquired
traits type
whatsoever.
But
the point still remains like I just wrote a question mark;
The
lies won’t stop cos what we want sometimes we do not need
And
what we need sometimes we do not want, or get.
So
when we get tired and wanna reduce the lies a bit, or not
We
employ the reverse psychological technique of saying we can tell.
How
would you ask me to be honest with you-
When
I cheat to come back and tell ya.
What
you gonna do? Gimme a trophy?
Or
quietly walk outta ma life?
We
too busy trying to be the love doctor
We
soon forget we all got the sickness too.
We
too busy lying to us right now
The
lies are beginning to sound like the truth.
I
wish we all got our partners here right now
To
look’em in the eye
And
maybe see the lies
When
we realize
It
isn’t us they really see when they look into our eyes.
While
they be trying to break us up
We
trying to break us too.
Quit
lying babe.
You
can’t tell sh**t and neither can i.
If
this relationship has been a lie
It’s
cos there is a truth in it.
Let’s
find it.
But
the question remains:
Is
it I you really see when you look into my eye?
