Umar Abdullahi Jimeta is an Offshore Health Safety and Environment expert (HSE II & III).

With his background in Geology and Mining,  he’s a trained DPR ‘Petro-physicist’.

Umar is the founder of the Diary of The Girl child,  famously known as ‘Her Dear Diary Initiative’,  a project that narrates and reveals the experiences of girl children in various forms of violence.

Umar Jimeta is a writer, an active member of YALI Network, and the current acting secretary at Community Based Organization for African youths (CBOY) in Kano State, Nigeria..
