My Lord, may i?

I may be a threat
to an accused,
or to an elder
i may be rude,
only my word may stir
an army of guilt.
As a child
i understood
how rude
it’d be to be a
witness to filth.
It should be
on record that
my fear
is not of guilt,
my fear
is to be
the accused
for an offence,
woe may come,
loss of air,
my fear
is for my lord;
I disagree
not to speak.
