Parts of speech poems

There’s something called a noun
It’s a book, a place, a man, a crown

In its absence a pronoun may be
like he and she in front of me

To describe, an adjective would
wild, elderly, rude, bad and good

A verb is action. That is quite agreed
To walk, to talk, to speak, to read

Prepositions can travel as far as
aboard, beyond, and beneath a glass

An adverb may be just enough
May be fast, sometimes extremely rough

A conjunction connects words and phrases
and this or that at different phases

An interjection is an abrupt remark.
Ah! Oh! He knocks! Hark!
