you pay if at 6:00 a.m. you’re not awake
you pay for laughing out loud
you pay if your visitors become a crowd
if your prayer is longer than normal
you pay for the extra requests
You pay whenever your baby cries
You pay for living, you pay for breathing
if you’re caught gossiping
you pay by gossiping the house
until your next rent.
