As Life Lives
Life was an absolute bed of roses
While I was within my mother.
There was no knowledge
Of good or bad,
Just eat and sleep and kick and turn.
I wish I learnt how to read and write
Through the umbilical cord.
I wished I learnt how to swim and drive
And how to meditate.
I wished I knew beforehand
the stress that I’m now going through,
I would have prepared my mind for it
And other heartbreaking things,
I wish I am within my mother, where
Life was an absolute bed of roses.
