Poetry: Water Under The Bridge.

Here’s a good story
Of shame and glory.
But how?
Once…someone owed me
(her heart would agree).
A vow,
We made over tea
Ended bringing me
Here now.

Bunmi was my sea,
With flow and degree.
Here now,
Alone i must be,
Have my cup of tea.
No vow,
No us and no we.
What was, couldn’t be
Right now.

It is dry and cold.
My body I fold.
Water.
My shoe is not soled,
New sole I must mold.

My youngness turns old,
This feeling I hold.

Heading towards gold.
My habit I mold.

Horrified now bold,
My fears I blindfold,
Slaughter.
Much stories untold,
Water,bridge behold
Gutter.

My glance found her smile
All else seemed to file.
Pray, pray,
Hearts may swim the Nile;
Dreams may walk the aisle,
Not fray.
Smart thoughts took a while
We’re calls on redial
To stay

Fat without a bile
So our smile did pile
Today,
We are both too rile
Who’ll dare break the tile?
No way,
There’s more to a mile
“We’re doomed for exile”
They say.

Tears fall into streams
Washing all our dreams,
All lost!
In waves the pain beams
From a bridge that screams,
When tossed.
Desperate, it creams
Hemmed in deformed seams,
We crossed.

Forgiveness redeems
Us from hunted themes
With frost.
For the bygones schemes,
Murky are its teams,
And bossed.
However it seems,
Be the gem that gleams
For most.

Nor my love for tea
Under a fig tree,

Where I lay a plea
Promptly.

You can’t be the sea
And the nectar bee
Solely.
Your flow is the key
That locks us all three,

And see me as me
Truly.
