RUDOLPH RUDDAPOET: WHICH BLOOD IS STAINED?

burningtyre

God asked Cain “Where is Abel?”
“How should I know?” Cain fired “Am I my brother’s keeper?”

God said
“Your brother’s blood has met with the earth, their conversation holds much pain. The face of the wind is stained with a stench that
Howls!

Someone was burnt to cleanse a sin?

What sin causes hands to throw stones on its kind?

Your brother’s blood cries!
Eyes hurting, hearts pounding!

I am a better color, I am not hue.
I am a thief who has not paid my dues of the breath that is not mine, so I seize more.

Your brother’s blood has slit the veins of the earth on its travel through your street.
It sings, it was freed because of the chains
bounded on him for having lived with you.

‘Where’s my brother?’ it’s been asking.
‘Which one is my brother?’ again.

You say!
Your brother’s blood has no future, how then can it cry or taste salt when it has lost its tongue?

Blood speaks!
Of how children are stolen, still not safe.
How mother’s heart is still pierced.
How fathers have failed to shoot forth with more than words.

Out from the earth!
Blood cries against brothers traded to madness!
It tells, of how it was burnt on the street!

If only we understood our places in the heart of love for each other… may love lead our hearts to love for each other. Nice work sir
